It makes about 3 dozen or so, depending on the size you scoop out.
About 15 minutes of prep and 20 minutes to bake
... 5 minutes to inhale them all
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Line baking sheets with parchment or silicone mats.
In a small bowl combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg. Set aside.
In a mixer bowl (or large bowl) cream sugar and butter until mixed completely. Add eggnog, vanilla, and yolks. Mix until smooth.
Slowly add dry mixture.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto lined baking sheet about 1 inch apart. Sprinkle lightly with nutmeg.
Bake for 20 minutes.
I won't bore you with our insane cookie making holiday traditions and a long drawn out story of how these came to be my favorites. I'll just tell you what I like to do to them. Yes, this recipe was found online. Yes, I tweaked it above. Yes, I have more pointers to change it up a bit too. For a thicker buttery taste, use 3/4 cup butter and a little extra eggnog. Also, the nutmeg is the flavor here so I sprinkle it HEAVY! I also like to undercook for a softer cookie. These will easily get too hard if you bake too long and ruin the mental expectation of an eggnog cookie.
I hope you enjoy these! We do every year. A few times HAHA!

I’ve never had an eggnog cookie but these sound great! I’m fan of eggnog so I may have to try making these. My favorite cookie is probably just plain chocolate chip or oatmeal! I’m a big brownie person though😋
Sugar cookies or chocolate chip are my favorite!
